On September 9, 2010 The Eufaula Chamber of Commerce, South Region Minority Supplier Development Council, Troy State University Small Business Development Center and Alabama Power held the “2010 Supplier Business Exchange” to educate minority owned businesses and businesses interested in working with Alabama Power on how to do business with Southern Company and Alabama Power. The event was very informative with purchasing agents from the various regions of Alabama and from the main office in Birmingham available to talk with businesses interested in doing business with them. Information was available on who to contact and what you need when contacting them. It was also mentioned that they will be hosting more events in other areas in the future.
